The North American Beaver on Askiy Ridge can be super fun to hunt. However, finding their zones can be a pain. You would expect for them to be in the water at all times, but you would be wrong. These little critters can be found primarily around their gathering zones. Use the map above to find their zones. Be slow and steady, as they’re quick to spook.
Once you have their zone, use a quick-action rifle to get them shot down as best you can. I’ve highlighted the weapons I recommend. Be careful when taking a shot not to hit their spine, as you will lose integrity. Or go forth and use the 470DB and get your revenge.
How to Shoot the Beavers under water
When Beavers are spooked they all congregate under the water away from danger… Or so they think, as it currently stands you can find and take out up to 11 beavers under the water using the trick highlighted below. The Night Vision scope apparently makes this easier but creeping towards the waters edge with your binos out helps a lot!
What Fur Types do the Beavers have on Askiy Ridge?

North American Beavers are most commonly found in light, reddish, or dark brown fur variations, making these the standard sights during a typical hunt. However, the is a selection of rare fur types that stand out significantly from the others. Among these, piebald beavers are already a rare find with their distinctive patchy colouring, but even more elusive are the melanistic, leucistic, and albino variants.
