Introducing TacMaps: The Ultimate COTW Hotspot Builder
I’ve been creating hotspot maps for quite some time now, in addition to developing detailed animal guides. I’ve noticed that these resources take a considerable amount of time and effort to produce, and they quickly become outdated with every new update or change. Maintaining them consistently has started to feel like a full-time job, which is quite demanding. Plus, I have to admit, I’m a bit lazy, so keeping everything up to date has become a real challenge for me.
So I wanted to make something simple that could at the least solve this problem for me

What Can You Do With TacMaps?
While also becoming a valid source for animal information:
- Shows Fur variations for animals
- Trophy Ratings
- Need Zone Times
- Animal information (Weight etc..)
But also:
- Allows you to zoom in and around the map
- Add need zones and other placeables
- View attraction radius and spook radius
- Make notes on each need zone (ie Big ol’ Buck here)
- Change the contrast, add a grid
- Select a loadout based on recommendations for the animal
- Auto Plan a grind for you
- Show zones found by other players and create Hotspots from actual data
- Easy to update if a patch adds something new
- Make good quality hotspot maps
- Show all parts of the setup, like Tents and feeders…
